Perfect! Super gentil a very good professional !!
I called this person at around 9 pm one night as I needed a locksmith to enter into my apartment. He asked me to wait for him at a bar near my place as he would arrive in one hour. I was surprised at how he handled the call, as he would get very annoyed and angry at me asking the most normal questions for the situation (estimated time of arrival, estimated price, if he could provide a receipt..). But I told him ok as his price was relatively lower than the others. At 10 pm he calls to tell me he would be 30 minutes late as there is traffic, and then it became over one hour. And he kept getting angry at me and yelling that I have no patience, that I can't have "cheap and fast" and that I should call someone else as this would just be a "waste of time" for him (after I had been waiting for over an hour). I ended up picking someone else, so I can not really speak about the quality of his work but his attitude was highly disrespectful, unprofessional and I can not recommend him.
One of the worst, scariest nights of my life. I called at 11pm. The locksmith said he'd be there right away, but that I should meet him at the cafe down the street first (not sure why). He said he couldn't call me because my number is foreign, so I should wait there and he'd look for me. When I got there, I called to ask where he was, and he said he'd be there within an hour. He said there was a lot of traffic (it was around 11pm and there were no cars on the road). I said I would wait in the back of the cafe. I waited for an hour, and then called him back. He said he'd be there in 30 to 40 minutes. I waited 40 more minutes and called him again. When he answered he was angry that I kept calling. He said traffic was very bad and he was rushing to get there. It was very late, and the cafe was emptying out, so I said I would go back and wait at the apartment. Some background: I lost my keys because they were attached to my wallet, which was stolen. I'm subletting the apartment from somebody, who had given me a spare key, which wasn't working (which is why I called the locksmith). I had nothing besides my phone (I was paying for everything via paypal, bank transfer, and apple pay). I had nowhere to stay except a friend's couch ~1 hour away by train. I'm here for work but most of my colleagues were out of town that night. I'm a young woman and I don't speak very good French, so I really didn't want to be out on the street alone. I had told the locksmith my situation over the phone. Once I got into the apartment building, I waited in the stairwell for 30 more minutes, until he finally arrived after 1am. When he arrived, he was very upset, shouting that this job is very difficult, he's not a magician, etc. I was pretty scared so I just said I'm so sorry and led him up to the unit. The tools he brought were rudimentary: just some hammers, screwdrivers, etc. When he talked to me he spoke very fast and got angry when I asked him to clarify. I would try to record and translate what he said on my phone, but he spoke so quickly that it came out as nonsense. He would yell something into the phone and then hand it to me and storm down the hall, banging on the walls in frustration (the neighbors were sleeping!). I was also terrified because he was holding knives and hammers and I was cornered against the wall. After he tried forcing the door for a bit he essentially told me that the key I had was the wrong one and that there was nothing he could do without breaking the lock. I said okay, I understand, and decided to sleep on the friend's couch. He said he would charge 110 euros rather than the usual 150, and wouldn't accept payment by card, paypal, or bank transfer; cash only. So he made me follow him out of the apartment to an ATM. As we walked to an ATM I told him I didn't have my physical card, so it would need to be contactless. He blew up because it turns out there were no contactless ATMs in the area. He then made me call everyone I knew in town asking them if they could get me some cash, even though it was now 2am. I couldn't find anybody, so he started going up to random people in the street asking if they had cash/paypal to do an exchange, which didn't work. We went up to all the shops that were still open and they didn't have cash. I offered to buy him something that cost more than 110 euros but he said no, only cash. The streets were clearing out and I was getting scared. It was now 3am, and we went up to a bar that was closing. They argued with him for a bit. He got super angry and almost started physically fighting with one of the workers. They let me into the bar and stood in front waiting for him to leave. He kept trying to make me come with him, which they stopped him from doing. After about 15 minutes of this, they got him to leave. It was 3:30am and I finally took a taxi to my friend's place. TL;DR the locksmith arrived 2 hours late, didn't do anything to help me, demanded 110 euros cash, wouldn't accept any of my payment methods, and held me hostage for the 110 euros for 2 hours until someone intervened.
